Want to Get Your Kids Excited about Reading This Summer? How About Free Slurpees?

NEW LOCATION UPDATED.

Want to get your kids excited about reading?  Do they need a cold drink to cool off on a hot day?

7-11 on 1821 S State St in Provo  has you covered.  Together with United Way’s Reading Program, Everyday Learners, 7-11 (ONLY at one location), lets kids earn a free small slurpee (or piece of fruit).  They earn their slurpee when they take a book and bring it back to report on it.

And while you are there, you can grab yourself a drink.  But if you do, make sure to download the 7-11 app.  For every 6 drinks (slurpees, fountain drinks, coffee, hot chocolate) you buy you get your 7th drink free.  Just have them scan the barcode on your app whenever you buy a drink(s).

When you go, don’t forget to have your kids grab another book, to earn another Free Slurpee.

They have books for all ages of kids, if they are an older child they have chapter books.  And for your young children they have simple books you can read to them.  I love this program.  Besides the Provo library’s Summer Reading Program, most of the reading reward programs are for once they start school and my kids are all still at home.
